As I write this blog post I am in the process of striving to learn more and more about the topic of Keyword Research. My desire is to incorporate what I am learning into my business, share this information with my team, as well as those of you reading this post.
It is common knowledge that marketers use keyphrases in the titles, title tags and bodies of their articles, and blogs that they place on the internet. It is a huge benefit when it comes to Search Engine Optimization or SEO. They do this so that people searching the internet for products or services related to these phrases will find what they are searching for. In the next few days I will be posting tips on how to use keywords if you are trying to attract searchers to your website.

Mining the Millennials | My Thoughts
The article is from a blog post by Darren Hardy on June 22, 2011. He is the publisher of SUCCESS Magazine.
I am a fan of the Darren Hardy because of his amazing story of entrepreneurship throughout his life.
The first paragraph of Darren’s blog:
Millennials, also known as Gen Y-ers (80 million, born between 1980 and 1995), were raised by overly doting parents who coddled their self-esteem like fragile Fabergé eggs. They played in little leagues where the score wasn’t kept and where everyone was a winner and everyone got a trophy for just showing up.
To read his entire blog post go here: http://blog.success.com/experts/darren-hardy/mining-the-millennials/#more-5141
True it is… if you are in the business of using any sort of technology in your business you will want people in the Millenials or Gen Y-ers on your team.
The post suggests that you understand these four principal "Millennial Values" and how to take action on them: People, Purpose, Profit and Productivity.

The 5 Things That 3% Leaders Do | Part Of My Daily Meditation
I am affiliated with a "mastermind" group that teaches us to do the following on a daily basis. It is through consistent action on doing things daily that "The Compound Effect" will occur as stated in a book I am reading by Darren Hardy, publisher of SUCCESS magazine.
The 5 Things That 3% Leaders Do Daily

I give thanks and credit to Jay Kubassek and John Jackson of CarbonCopyPRO as part of my mastermind group. They planted a seed and have part in development of the above information.

Building Blogs is Like Building Muscles | My Review
Darren Rowse wrote this blog and describes some really fascinating ways to take your blog to the next level and compares blogs to muscles. He says you cannot build muscle without working at it and similarly you cannot build a successful blog without effort as well.
Darren did a pretty cool thing in providing a video of the blog into the content. You will notice that he really knows his blogging because he uses various strategies in managing his blog content.

Find Out Your True Passion | Mine Is Owning My Own Home Business.
I heard about a survey in the past year that about 75% of the people are not sure what their real passion is. Undoubtedly, most people don’t seem to be doing what they would do if they truly followed their passion. This is an interesting discovery for the reason that doing what we actually love is extremely important if we want to be completely happy.
The following is a list of seven questions you should ask yourself in order to find your true passion:
1 What have you been exposed to that really makes you smile?
2 What type of activity requires almost no effort for you?
3 What types of things ignite your imagination?
4 Is there an activity you have found that you enjoyed so much that you would be willing to do for free?
5 What subject do you enjoy talking about?
6 Is there something you’ve done with no fear of failing?
7 What do you regret not having tried?

Another Security Breach | This One At WordPress.org
If you own your own piece of internet real estate on WordPress.org you may want to check out the article I just noticed at Mashable.com: Potential Plugin Security Breach Forces WordPress.org To Reset Passwords.
The article indicated that there might have been some security breaches on WordPress.org sites earlier today. This evidently required WordPress security geeks to force users of certain plugins to reset their passwords.
I'm just thankful that my websites were fortunately not affected by the hacker attacks but I would keep an eye on the situation.
How To Find Financial Freedom | Own Your Own Home Based Business
I heard of a survey that was conducted in the United States that intended to measure how satisfied American workers were with their current jobs. The question was something like “If you won the lottery today and received one million dollars what would you do about your current job?” About two thirds of the people interviewed indicated that they would quit their job the following day. Did you know that every two of three people you meet would like to give their boss his walking papers tomorrow morning?
One might draw from the info above that many people would love to start their own business and work from home.
Here are four reasons you should start a home based business of your own:
1 Cash Flow
2 Financial Freedom
3 Appreciating Assets
4 Tax Advantages
If you have the mind set of two of three of those in the survey above let me ask you this question: A year from now, are you going to say to yourself; “dang I wish I would have taken action on that opportunity a year ago.” - Food for thought!

Our Society Needs Leaders |Happy Father’s Day (2011)
It seems that society has placed less and less importance on the role of fatherhood in recent decades. Men in general have taken it to mean that they don’t really need to take the responsibility to lead. Lead their families, their friends or lead in business. And yet, I believe that’s what people are in need of most – leaders. People are searching for someone to follow.
I just want to tell everyone how grateful I am for the example my father has been to me. And now, years after his passing away my father is still guiding me through his quiet example of leadership. Thank you Dad. We love you! Happy Father’s Day!

Continuous Learning Entrepreneur | A Review
What I liked most about the article entitled: 3 Challenges Faced By Work-From-Home Entrepreneurs and How To Overcome Them.
It reminded me that those of us who are “work from home” entrepreneurs should speak with our spouse and family about how critically imperative it is to treat your business like a real business. And that, among other things, means you should set a schedule of working hours and follow your schedule. Don’t forget, however, about the importance of balancing your work life with your family. After all, isn't your family a large part of the reason for becoming an entrepreneur in the first place?

I’m Always Searching In Order To Grow | Here’s A Comment On This Blog: How To Use Facebook To Enchant Your Customers – By Guy Kawasaki
Among other things, Guy writes that one needs to be likable on Facebook. What he means is you should not post things that might not enhance a “likeable” image. I have always been in agreement with that. After all perception is reality.
He goes on to include nine other things but the ones that stand out to me are being trustworthy and having gratitude.
I agree! To be trustworthy as a business that is trying to sell something, whether it’s a product or service, if a person does not trust you your chances are slim.
Regarding showing gratitude; I’m a firm believer in showing gratitude. Guy points out that you should always be showing gratitude when someone uses a service or does something for you.
Interesting info on Guy Kawasaki: Wow, this guy is cool! I know I’ve seen his name in many places throughout the internet. I suggest you Google him.

Perpetuate the Legacy | Build Strong Family Bonds
I would like to say I came up with this idea on my own but I didn’t but I believe the important thing is that we all take action on things we learn. We had church meeting a couple of weeks ago and one of the speakers was a woman who spoke about ideas that will strengthen family bonds.
One of the things she does in her family is; every couple of months they have all their extended family nearby come to her house and have a Family Home Evening, which is when a family gets together for a discussion and/or activity… usually followed by refreshment. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for quite some time. I had a very strong feeling about it and I decided to do just that… have a Family Home Evening at our house for extended family.
Coincidentally, my nephew and his wife had their new baby boy blessed (similar to christening) yesterday at my sister and brother-in-law’s house here nearby so I made the announcement.
I feel a responsibility to perpetuate the legacy built by our forefathers.
Although mass media and technologists try to copy, clone and mimic the personal interaction people get from literally being together face-to-face, no amount of IMs, SMSs, Tweets, or Facebook posts will really give it the justice it deserves. It’s called pressing the flesh. Virtual contact cannot replace reality.
We need more quality conversations… and this is a start.
Even though I am now in the business of building my business I recognize the importance of in-person contact.
My Comments on a Really Cool Blog | 3 Simple Steps to Finding More Clients on Twitter
My comment on an article blogged on copyblogger.com: 3 Simple Steps to Finding More Clients on Twitter by Joseph Putnam:
What I liked most about this blog post is that he points out that of important to diversifying your marketing and establishing a sure foundation... and that foundation should be content. After providing a foundation of great content a powerful way to get visibility and bring people into your marketing funnel is to use Twitter to let people know about your content.
To Be? | Should this be a question?
What if we started with a “To Be” list instead of a “To Do” list? Why? Our “To Be’s” will help us prioritize our “To Do’s”. You cannot check “To Be’s” off your list like you can with “To Do’s”. Being a good parent or a good person is not an event; it needs “To Be” a part of my nature or character, or who I am.
We must form a clear and definite mental image of the things we want to become (“To Be”). It is required that that we hold this image in our thoughts while being grateful to God that our desires are granted to us.
